Monday 5th July 2010 - Fatwalk receives planning permission!
The new two-mile long route – one of the Mayor’sGreat Spaces projects – will include new footpaths and cycle ways set within new structures aimed at tackling road, rail and river obstacles that frustrate north and south movement. The new linkages include creating a connection at Bow Locks, a new bridge over the River Lea at Poplar Reach and the construction of a series of walkways below the A13 road bridges at Canning Town. Monday 26 April 2010 - Three Mills Green re-design progressing

Churchman Landscape Architects have been appointed by the Lee Valley Regional Park to improve Three Mills Green for people and wildlife. They will be holding a fun day on Three Mills Green on Saturday 8th May 2010 with some of great activities for local residents to enjoy.  Check out the event listing for more details.

Tuesday 6 April 2010 - Lea River Park submitted for planning permission!

The plans for the Lea River Park have been submitted to Newham and Tower Hamlets councils to be assessed for planning permission.  See the 'Fatwalk' page in the About section for more details and a User Friendly guide to the proposals. 


Thursday 28 January 2010 - Lea River Park wins prestigious award!

Saturday 23 January 2010 - Architecture Crew tour Lea River Park

Members of Newham's Architecture Crew toured the Lea River Park for inspiration on how they would like to improve the area as they begin design on their own part of the park!  On Monday 15th & Tuesday 16th February 2010 they will be helping to run a project with other young people from around the area to create design concepts which could become a reality in the Lea River Park.  See the Events Calendar for more details.
