Celebrate World Rivers Day with an Autumn Amble along the River Lea.
WALKING TOWARDS THE GAMES: Visit the largest remaining tidal mill at Three Mills Island and through fast disappearing industry in the Lea Valley to reach Bow Creek Ecology Park and East India Dock - London's only salt marsh. Learn more from London Thames Gateway Development Corporation about plans for the Lea River Park and the 'Fatwalk' - a continuation of the Lea Valley Walk hugging the river and avoiding the industrial area. The walk continues along the Thames Path to Island Gardens with its classic view of Greenwich, then through the foot tunnel to Greenwich itself.
